Eventually, I will stop making photos; however, I will continue, for now, to make my headshots and senior, family, and business portraits, along with as many real estate and investment real estate photos as I can schedule.

As a photographer, there's something truly magical about capturing a moment in time. Whether it's a family portrait or a candid shot of a couple on their wedding day, being able to freeze that moment forever is truly special. For many photographers, this magic draws them to the craft and keeps them returning for more. So, what exactly is it that we love so much about photography? For starters, there's the thrill of the chase. Finding the perfect shot can be challenging, but when you finally get it, a sense of accomplishment is hard to beat. Then there's the fact that photography allows us to see the world differently. We notice the little things others might miss and can turn those moments into something extraordinary. However, The most rewarding part of being a photographer is the ability to share our art with others. Whether it's through a gallery exhibition or a family photo album, bringing others joy through our work is incredibly fulfilling. And for many of us, that makes it all worth it. So, the next time you're flipping through a photo album or admiring a beautiful landscape shot, take a moment to appreciate the magic behind the lens. It's the love for the craft that makes it all possible.

We hope you will make LeMay Photo your go-to place for real estate photos, business portraits, headshots, family and senior portraits. Here are some suggestions for a successful session.

1. Choose the right outfit: Wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. It's essential to wear something that represents your personality and style. Avoid wearing clothes with logos or busy patterns, as they can be distracting. 2. Get enough rest: Ensure you have enough rest before the photoshoot. A good night's sleep can help you look more relaxed and refreshed. 3. Choose the right location: Choose a location that holds a special meaning to you, such as a park or a favorite spot in your neighborhood. You can also opt for a professional studio for a more formal look. 4. Work with a professional photographer: A professional photographer can help you capture the best shots and provide guidance on poses and lighting. Look for a photographer who specializes in senior portraits. 5. Bring props and accessories: Bring some props and accessories representing your hobbies or interests. This can add a personal touch to your photos and make them more memorable. 6. Have fun: Finally, remember to have fun and enjoy the experience. A positive attitude can make all the difference in the quality of your photos.
Your pet can make a great addition to your session.
1. Get Your Pet Groomed: Before the photoshoot, ensure your pet is groomed and looks their best. This can include bathing, brushing their coat, and trimming overgrown hair or nails.
2. Choose the Right Location: Choose a location that is comfortable for your pet and matches the type of photos you want to take. A park or beach can be great for outdoor shots, while an indoor studio may be better for more formal portraits.
3. Bring Treats and Toys: Bring your pet's favorite treats and toys to the photoshoot. This can help keep your pet focused and engaged during the session. Also, make sure to have plenty of water and snacks on hand to keep your pet comfortable and happy.
4. Coordinate Outfits: If you plan to take photos with your pet, consider coordinating your outfits. This can create a cohesive look and make the images more visually appealing.
5. Work with a Pet-Friendly Photographer: Look for a photographer with experience working with pets and understanding how to capture their unique personalities. A pet-friendly photographer will also know how to create a safe and comfortable environment for your furry friend.
6. Relax and Have Fun: Finally, remember to relax and have fun during the photoshoot. Your pet will pick up on your energy, so stay calm and positive. And don't worry if your pet doesn't want to cooperate—some of the best photos often capture their playful and mischievous side.

Blog posting is an effective way to promote your business; the following remarks may be helpful.

One of the most effective ways to promote your photo studio on Google is by regularly posting informative and engaging blog posts. By consistently publishing high-quality content, you can establish yourself as an authority in your field, attract more traffic to your website, and ultimately generate more leads and sales. To get started, you'll want to brainstorm relevant topics for your audience and showcase your expertise. For example, you could write about the latest photography techniques, share behind-the-scenes stories from your photo shoots, or offer tips for taking better photos. You can also feature your work and highlight your portfolio through blog posts. Once you've come up with some ideas, create a content calendar to keep yourself on track and ensure you publish new posts regularly. Remember to optimize your posts for search engines by including relevant keywords and meta descriptions. You can also promote your blog posts on social media to reach a wider audience. Remember, consistency is vital when it comes to blogging. By consistently posting valuable content, you can establish yourself as a trusted authority in your industry and attract more customers to your photo studio.

These lovely days are full of sunlight and warmth—a fine time to make our headshots, business, family, and senior portraits and real estate photos. Give us a call and make an appointment today. Want to be more creative? Read on.
Look no further than automation. While many people associate automation with robotic, repetitive tasks, it can be a powerful tool for unleashing your creative potential. With automation, you can streamline mundane tasks, freeing time and mental energy to focus on more creative pursuits. For example, you can automate your social media posting schedule, freeing time to brainstorm new marketing ideas. You can also use automation to generate reports, analyze data, and perform tasks that would otherwise require much time and effort. But automation can do more than save time. It can also help eliminate creative ruts by providing new perspectives and insights. For example, you can use automation to analyze customer data and identify patterns and trends you might have missed otherwise. This can help you develop fresh, innovative ideas that set you apart. Of course, like any tool, automation is only as effective as the person using it. To make the most of it, you must clearly understand your goals and objectives and be willing to experiment and iterate until you find the right approach for your business. With the right tools and mindset, you can unlock a new world of possibilities and achieve your goals faster and more efficiently than ever.

Recently, I have been busier than expected. The real estate investment property business has kept me hopping. Since investors usually have money, the high interest rates don't affect them.

Let's see what the future of photography holds.

1. Embrace New Technologies: With the rise of drones, virtual reality, and other cutting-edge technologies, photographers must stay up-to-date with the latest tools and techniques.

2. Focus on Niche Markets: Finding a niche that sets you apart from the competition is essential as the market becomes more crowded.

3. Build Your Brand: A strong brand is essential in a crowded marketplace. Invest in a professional website, develop a consistent social media presence, and create a portfolio that showcases your best work. Make sure your brand reflects your unique style and approach to photography.

4. Develop Your Business Skills: Being a successful photographer requires more than just technical skills. You also need to be able to run a business effectively. Invest in marketing, sales, and financial management training to help you build and grow a successful photography business.

5. Stay Creative: Remember that photography is ultimately an art form. To stay competitive, you must continue developing your creative skills and find new ways to express yourself through your work. Attend workshops, collaborate with other artists, and always seek new inspiration and ideas. By embracing new technologies, finding your niche, building your brand, developing your business skills, and staying creative, you can remain competitive in the rapidly changing landscape of professional photography.

We have been surprisingly busy in late January with a convention, headshots, business, and senior portraits; however, our real estate photography is experiencing growth. The real estate market is constantly changing, and interest rates are one of the significant factors that impact it. Interest rates are the cost of borrowing money, and they play a significant role in determining the cost of homeownership.

 1. Increased Demand for Homes Lower interest rates typically lead to increased demand for homes. This is because lower interest rates mean lower monthly mortgage payments, making homeownership more affordable for more people.
2. Lower interest rates can also lead to more refinancing activity. Homeowners with existing mortgages may choose to refinance their loans at a lower rate, saving them money on their monthly payments.
3. Boost in Construction Activity Lower interest rates can also lead to a boost in construction activity. Developers may be more inclined to build new homes and apartments, as lower interest rates make securing financing easier.
4. Potential for a Housing Bubble Lower interest rates can have many positive effects but can also lead to a housing bubble. This can happen when people pay too much debt, or lenders must be more lenient with their lending practices. In conclusion, lower interest rates can significantly impact the real estate market. As the trend of lower interest rates continues into 2024, it will be interesting to see how these effects play out in the real estate market.

LeMay Photography is all rested and caught up on all the accounting chores needed to start a new year. I have had the snow and cold I can stand, and I am ready to help you with your headshots, business, senior, family portraits, and real estate marketing photos. My artist moved three hours away a couple of years ago, and we had to go to remote production.

Remote teams are often more productive than in-office teams due to several reasons. One of the main reasons is that remote workers have fewer distractions and interruptions than those working in an office environment. Remote workers can focus better and get more done in less time without the constant noise and disruption of traditional office space. Another reason is that remote workers often have more flexibility in their work schedules, leading to increased productivity. Remote workers can set their own schedules and work when they are most productive without the need to commute to an office. Additionally, remote teams are often made up of highly skilled professionals worldwide, which can lead to a more diverse and innovative team. This diversity can lead to more creative solutions to problems and a more productive team overall. Finally, remote teams often have better communication and collaboration tools than in-office teams, which can lead to more efficient and effective communication. With the right tools, remote teams can collaborate seamlessly, no matter where they are, leading to better productivity and results.

Telling Stories Through Old and New Photographs
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and it's true - images can convey emotions, capture memories, and tell stories in a way that words simply cannot.
Looking through old photographs can transport us back in time, giving us a glimpse into what life was like in the past. But these images can also tell us much more than that. They can show us the struggles and triumphs of previous generations, their hardships, and the moments of joy that made life worth living.

New photographs are just as powerful. In today's social media and instant gratification world, we have more opportunities than ever to share these stories with others.

But the real power of images lies in their ability to unite people. They can help us connect with others, even if we've never met them. We can share our photographs with friends and family or post them online for the world to see. And in doing so, we can build a community of people connected by a shared love of photography.

So the next time you look at an old photograph or snap a new one, remember that you're not just capturing an image - you're telling a story.

LeMay Photography wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Please remember us for your headshots, business, family, child, and senior portraits.

Recently, my business and my family's bank accounts have experienced fraud and had to go through setting up new accounts. One of the traditional payment methods businesses have used for years is checks. However, paying with checks can expose a business to fraud and theft. Therefore, businesses must explore safer ways of paying their expenses to avoid falling victim to fraud.
1. Online Payment Platforms One of the safest ways to pay business expenses is by using online payment platforms. These platforms allow businesses to make payments securely and conveniently. They have built-in security features that help protect businesses from fraud and theft. Some popular online payment platforms include PayPal, Stripe, and Square.
2. Mobile Apps Mobile apps have also become popular for businesses to pay their expenses. Mobile apps like Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle allow businesses to pay their expenses securely and quickly.
3. Digital Wallets Digital wallets are another safe way for businesses to pay their expenses. Some popular digital wallets include Google Wallet, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay.
4. Wire Transfers are a safe and secure way to pay business expenses. They involve transferring money from one bank account to another. Wire transfers are fast and convenient, and they offer a high level of security. However, they can be expensive, so businesses should weigh the costs before using this payment method.
5. Virtual Credit Cards Virtual credit cards are another safe way for businesses to pay their expenses. They are temporary credit card numbers that businesses can use to make payments. Virtual credit cards offer high security as they are only valid for a limited time. This makes them an excellent way to protect against fraud and theft. Investing in secure payment platforms and staying up-to-date with the latest payment technologies can help businesses protect themselves from fraud and keep their financial transactions safe and secure.

The holiday season and winter months can be some of the slowest periods for photography portrait studios, but you can still let it get you down:

  1. Please take advantage of the slower pace to catch up on tasks that may have fallen by the wayside during busier times.
  2. Consider offering special promotions or discounts to encourage clients to book sessions. This helps keep your business afloat during slower periods and attracts new clients who may have been hesitant to book at the total price. Another way to stay positive during the holidays and winter months is to focus on the joy that photography can bring to people's lives.
  3. Take care of yourself during this time.

Practice self-care and make time for activities that bring you joy outside work. This can help you maintain a positive mindset and prevent burnout. In conclusion, while the holiday season and winter months may be slower for photography portrait studios, staying positive and using this time to your advantage is essential. By visiting organized, offering promotions, focusing on the joy of your work, and taking care of yourself, you can make the most of this time and set yourself up for success in the future.

LeMay Photography has entered the holiday season and is ready to help you with your Christmas gifts, headshots, family, senior, and baby photos. We sell paper prints and digital images; below is a discussion of both formats.  This blog post will explore the   selling digital versus prints and help you determine which option is best for your art business. One of the most significant advantages of selling digital artwork is the ease of distribution. With digital files, you can sell your work online and reach a global audience without needing physical inventory or shipping costs.

On the other hand, selling prints offers a tangible product that can be displayed in homes and offices. This can be especially appealing to collectors who prefer physical artwork. Prints also provide the opportunity for customization, such as different sizes and framing options, which can increase the value of your work. Printing, framing, and shipping costs can significantly affect your profit margins.
Additionally, prints are subject to damage during shipping, which can lead to unhappy customers and returns. When it comes to selling digital artwork, one of the main disadvantages is that it can be easily copied and distributed without your permission.  In conclusion, both digital and print sales have their advantages and disadvantages. It's critical to consider your target audience, production costs, and revenue goals when deciding which option is best for your art business.

As the winter months approach, many photographers may feel down due to the reduced number of outdoor photoshoots.  Here are some tips to stay inspired and productive during the winter months: 1. Experiment with new lighting techniques: With fewer natural light opportunities, take advantage of the time to experiment with different lighting techniques.  2. Organize your gear: Take some time to go through your equipment and organize everything. Not only will it help save time when you need to find something, but it can also help declutter your mind and allow new ideas and inspiration to flow. 3. Try different photography genres: Have you always wanted to try portrait or still-life photography? Winter is the perfect time to experiment with new genres and challenge yourself creatively. 4. Get inspired by other photographers: Take some time to look at the work of other photographers who inspire you. Try to figure out what about their work that speaks to you, and see if you can incorporate some of their techniques or ideas. 5. Collaborate with other artists: Reach out to local artists and see if you can collaborate on a project. Working with other creatives can be a great way to inspire and develop new ideas. Plus, it's always fun to work with other like-minded individuals!

LeMay Photography uses in-person viewing of a child, business headshots, family and senior portraits

  1. Personal Connection:

One of the most significant advantages of in-person viewing is the personal connection it fosters. When you visit a portrait studio, you can meet with skilled photographers who can understand your vision, preferences, and the story you want your portrait to tell. This personal touch enhances the overall experience, allowing you to collaborate closely with the photographer to ensure your vision comes to life.

  1. Customization and Collaboration:

In-person viewing opens up the possibility of customization and collaboration. This level of collaboration ensures that the final product aligns perfectly with your taste and expectations. The ability to make real-time decisions allows for a genuinely bespoke portrait that reflects your personality and style.

  1. Quality Assurance:

When you order portraits in person, you can assess the quality of the prints and materials firsthand. This hands-on approach provides quality assurance that online ordering may only sometimes guarantee.

  1. Immediate Feedback:

In-person viewing allows for immediate feedback and adjustments. This ensures that the final product is precisely what you envisioned, eliminating the need for back-and-forth communications that can often occur in online ordering.

  1. Emotional Connection:

Selecting and ordering portraits in person creates a more profound emotional connection to the artwork. This emotional connection is something that online ordering, with its digital transactions, may not be able to replicate.

  1. Expert Guidance:

Portrait studios often employ skilled professionals who can provide expert guidance on selecting and framing portraits.

Providing potential buyers with a video walkthrough can be a game-changer when selling a property. Not only does it save time and effort for both the seller and the buyer, but it also allows for a more immersive experience of the property. A video walkthrough gives buyers a better idea of what the property looks like, its layout, and how it feels to walk through it. It can show off the property's best features and give buyers a sense of what it would be like to live there. In today's fast-paced world, where people only have time to visit some properties they are interested in, a video walkthrough can help narrow the options. It can also save time for sellers dealing with fewer in-person showings.
Moreover, a video walkthrough can be an excellent tool for out-of-town buyers who need help to visit the property in person. It can give them a better sense of the property than just looking at pictures online. Overall, using a video walkthrough for a real estate listing is a smart move that benefits both buyers and sellers. It's a modern approach that can make buying and selling smoother and more efficient.

LeMay Photography, located in the Arcade Square Shopping Center in western Little Rock, specializes in portraits of seniors, families, and headshots for business purposes.

One critical task each day is to enjoy the day and the people I get to meet. We get the day one time, and we need not waste it.  It will never happen again, so getting the most out of each day is essential. I'm not talking about financial gain but profitable living that treats others and our world correctly. When we pursue these precepts, financial rewards will follow eventually.  You may spend a lot of time with your employees, so why not enjoy them? It's sad to invest a lot of time in that relationship and be miserable at the end of the day.  I enjoy Real Estate photography because agents call back regularly; this can grow a successful business.
Building a successful photo business requires more than just technical skills. It also requires connecting with new people and building meaningful relationships. One way to do this is to attend industry events and network with other photographers, vendors, and clients. Another way is to offer your services for free or at a reduced rate to local non-profits or community organizations. Giving back to your community can establish yourself as a trusted and valuable member, leading to new business opportunities and referrals. Building relationships takes time and effort, but the rewards are worth it in the long run.

Western Little Rock has been the home of LeMay Photography since 1998, when I moved the business from the Riverdale area. Since then, we have worked on our portraits, business headshots, and senior and family photos.  How do you choose the best location for your outdoor session? This might help.

When choosing the best location for your outdoor portrait session, several factors must be considered. First and foremost, you should select a place that reflects your client's personality and style. If your client is more adventurous, choose a location with rugged terrain or unique landscapes. Select a more polished location with clean lines and a modern aesthetic if your client is more refined. It would help if you also considered the lighting conditions of the site. If you're shooting during the golden hour, you'll want to select a location with soft, warm light. If you're shooting during the middle of the day, you'll want to choose a place with plenty of shade to avoid harsh shadows. In addition, you should consider the location's level of privacy and safety. Make sure that the site is safe for your client and anyone else who might be joining you on the shoot. Consider any potential hazards or obstacles that impede your ability to capture great shots. By taking the time to consider these factors carefully, you can choose the best location for your outdoor portrait session and create stunning images that your clients will treasure for years to come.
