Summer Shooting and Heat Stroke

August 1, 2021
This time of year we're very busy with all types of portraits, family, senior, child, and business portraits or headshots. Real estate photos are in great demand this summer. Most summers feature low demand for real estate photography as agents, sellers, and buyers enjoy vacations and time in the air conditioning which is an objective of mine too. However, this year the real estate market is very active and sellers are expecting above asking prices and buyers are accepting that reality. So I'm trying to keep everyone happy and juggle all the sessions at one time, as soon as school starts I get a break, and the demand for projects returns to a more manageable state. The majority of my session this time of year are high school seniors. We can shoot three maybe four high school seniors each day including Saturdays while working real estate photography sessions in too. It is so fortunate that this comes during the hottest time of the year. I love losing my drone in the sun, I can hear it but not see it and this is not the best way to fly. It is bad form to land in a tree or lake, especially with the agent looking on. Drone photos are very helpful when the property has is lakefront or has a substantial amount of acreage. No matter what type of session I'm working on, I am doing what I love and have worked on for a long time.
