This beautiful spring finds us making our senior, family, child, and business portraits with the occasional real estate listing thrown in. We have had to work around some rain but April showers do bring May flowers and we a due some good days to unfurled our economic wings and practice some soaring. This week we were invited to make professional portraits "on location" at an association that has been a client for many years. Some of the staff met me and let me into the building. I got to use my new wagon to carry my equipment up the fourth floor. My wife describes it as a beach wagon however I will describe it and depreciate it as a valuable photographic asset. Normally it takes as many as four trips to get all the equipment to the shooting site, now only one. Also, we have become comfortable with a small battery-operated flash system that is much lighter and smaller than the behemoths we have used in the past. I still take the large flash system with me because it has never let me down but as a backup only. I have a lightweight background system and after giving the client a couple of choices of backgrounds I started to shoot. I shoot into my iPad so after five or six exposures the subject can see their images on the tablet and make their choices and many can ask to make a few more shots.
