The Fourth of July came and went providing rest and some badly needed family time. It wasn't long before we settled back into our summer routine of business, family, senior, and child portraits. We were asked to provide an on-location portrait studio for a large national accounting firm in a local hotel where they were conducting training so they could update their executive headshots. When one of their executives has to come out to the studio to have a photo made that takes them away for a couple of hours from their duties. It is very efficient to take five minutes and drop in my location studio and have it done. We bring all the equipment we need to make professional business portraits with immediate viewing of images for selection. When we have completed the project w leave with a list of the desired photos so we can edit them immediately resulting in a rapid turnaround appreciated by firms. As executives come in there is a brief introduction and maybe even a handshake or fist bump. At first, people are rather self-conscience about the experience and admit to being a bit nervous about seeing themselves with some new years charged to their account. Asking them about their hometown or high school helps to distract them long enough for several photos to be made showing both sides with some smiling and some not. We then invite them to view and select their choices or we make a few more photos.
