Flying High this Summer

July 18, 2021

The summer is in full swing with our attention on senor, family, child, and business portraits or headshots.  We work with two or three seniors each day, including the weekends.  This part of our business will slow down as soon as school starts as the students return to class and hopefully a normal school year.  Recently my drone has been very popular for use in real estate marketing.  Many properties have characteristics best seen from an elevated angle instead of just street level.  This is also a good way to say to your client, that you want to provide more than the minimum amount of service.  Your clients will be more likely to share their photos with their family and friends, which are of course your future clients. Since the real estate market is so energetic at this time and houses seem to sell in just a few days, agents may be tempted to do less marketing however this is dangerous in the long run.  The market will return to a more realistic pace and you will need customers during that time as well.  Agents usually spent $150 to $250 on photographic marketing material this seems like a very small amount on the day you receive your commission check.  Drone projects recently included a lakefront property, a large commercial fuel station, and a home with a beautiful pool area and backyard.  The weather has been good recently for flying with little wind and significant sunshine.
