Recently I bought a new house which needs some extensive renovations and painting. I brought all the large prints I had displayed on the walls of my old house but after ten years or so I'm ready for some new images. I like the looks of gallery wraps as they have built-in framing. Framed photos require coordination and an eye for grouping them pleasingly and artfully. This requires a talent not always found close by. So I would like to hang in my new home casually made photos of my family and friends. I use professional photographic tools and lighting as I have done always and I expect my clients require that. However, you can't put your family through that with all the set-up, testing, and making the different permutations available, they won't put up with it. As camera technology has evolved so, has the ability to make wonderful photos with the light available with little or no auxiliary lighting equipment. I have watched my children make photos using their phones. They are unaware of the direction and quantity of the natural light present in a space. So, using my growing family as subjects I will decorate my new home with fond Memories.
